I'm gonna huuuuug you!

My son has been asking me for awhile to make him something and we've gone back and forth on what he wanted.  He has made all kinds of suggestions but nothing has sounded exactly right.


When I came across the very awesome Sackboy version by Caustic Musings of Gir  from the show Invader Zim, my son was set on me making him one.  I wasn't sure I was ready for this level of crocheting but felt eventually I would get there.

Well, after making some of these pumpkins, I felt I had a better idea on how to make him.

I personally loved this picture of Gir and it was the inspiration!


He is just SOOOO cute!!!
I went back and forth on the eyes and if I wanted the "traditional" buggy eyes, but I think he looks much cuter this way! I can't wait for my son to see him!
I just need to sew on a zipper and he is finished!!!

Eventually I would love to make a version like this

And now we will end with the Doom Song!! Hope you enjoyed!!!

    I love The Doom Song! :) AWESOME!!! I think he came out so cute! I'm very impressed you came up with the pattern by yourself. Very cool! I can't wait to see him finished.

    I used to sing the Doom song ALL THE TIME.
    He looks adorable with his eyes either way! You did SUCH a GREAT job, lady!!! He's going to love him :D

    Hey sorry to bug you on your blog. I'm Sammy from Scraps N' Strings and I just was letting you know that I printed the pictures on plain cardstock. The only problem was that it absorbs a lot of moisture so photo paper probably would have been easier to avoid air bubbles. :D

    Thanks ladies!! I was soooo excited the whole time I made him because I couldn't believe how good he was looking!! My son loves him! He is cuddling with him in bed now!
    Thanks Sammy for the input! I might have to do something like this for my daughter's dresser
