My Week in Pictures - week 11

This week has had some interesting things happen.

Mostly my kids have kept me entertained!

Kira wrote some thank you cards.  I love that she wore her Davy Crocket Hat all day!

Kira also drew "tattoos" all over herself with markers at daycare!

She cracks me up!

She even drew the ones on her cheek herself!

Life is always interesting with Caed - he just isn't as willing to be photographed!!

He made a crown from bubble wrap and UT duck tape!

I found this Batman next to the coffee maker at the daycare

I guess he is in charge of keeping my coffee safe!

CRAFTING!

My friend has asked me to figure out her grandmother's slipper pattern.

Everyone in her family loved getting these each Christmas, but she never wrote the pattern down.

I think I have it mostly perfected -- she has some interesting decreasing on the toes that I'm trying to get just right! Call me a perfectionist!!!

I made a cute bunny one night!

Kira has claimed her and named her Crystal

And - I think you have already seen this - I made a sunglasses holder for my best friend :)

This week I have some girl time with my daughter as my boys head off to Cub Scout Camp.

I love getting some spoiling time with her!!

My last 2 weeks in pictures!!

So much has happened in 2 weeks! 

I don't think I captured all of it, but still wanted to share some pictures with you all!

I mentioned last week that my son was helping to refurbish this old doll house for me.

It fits perfect in my office!!

One of my work kids has already been playing with it and moving the stuffed animals around inside!

It is hard to see in this picture, but Kira wrote BOOM on her knuckles!!!!

She said she just liked it!

Last weekend we went to San Antonio

We went to the Alamo

And the zoo

Caed got to feed some birds

And Kira brushed a pig!

I spent the rest of this week at church camp with these two awesome girls

Kira drew these pictures for me to have while I was at camp :)

It was sweet to open up an envelop from her and have these waiting for me.

The kids have been playing with legos since I got home

I now have to watch my keys!

Caed thinks he can drive my car since he is as tall as me!!!!!

I walked up to my car to see him in the driver's seat!!!!!

And that about covers it!

I've been crafting but most are gifts so I can't share them yet!!!!

My Week in Pictures - Week 8

I can hardly believe we only have one more week left in JUNE!!!

CRAZY!

This week was busy and I somehow didn't stop to take pictures!

I still found some good ones to share though :)

In my weight loss journey I have now lost 15 pounds!

My son was having a lot of fun with this bubble blower!

My kids went to their grandparents this weekend and got to do a lot of fun things with them.

Kira tested out her new sewing machine she got for her Birthday.

She already has a list of things to make with it!!

I'm aiming for those projects with straight lines like pillows!

My son helped refurbish this doll house.

It was my sister-in-laws and then her daughter used it.

I thought I could use it at work with my kids!

So excited and can't wait for my work kids to hear that my son helped!

Kira got baptized this Sunday!

I love that my husband has gotten to baptize both of our kids.

CRAFTING!!!!!

I'm making some fingerless gloves for our cutie neighbor girls! 

They are always borrowing Kira's when they play rockstar so I need to get them their own pair for when they are rockstars at home!!

I've been knitting away on this blanket and getting caught up on Grey's on the hubby's fancy Kindle Fire.

AND I think I've decided what to make with these bright colored grannies!!

My little sister pointed out that she liked the colors when she saw them, so I thought I'd make something for her!

I'll let you know what I make after its done!

Just in case it doesn't turn out right!!!!

My Week In Pictures - Week 7

Oh goodness another week has gone by!

This was an extra special week full of celebrations!

I'm worn out!!!!

This week I celebrated 13 years of marriage to my best friend 

Celebrated Kira's 8th Birthday with some extra spoilage!

Celebrated Father's Day 

This is a pic of my brother, myself and my dad - my first father's day with him in 10 years

I got to hang out by the pool at work this week!

One of my kids wanted me to see him swim because he was finally brave enough to get in!

We had a pool party for Kira and one of her besties

I was not thinking clearly when I gave kazoos as gift bag prizes!

We are expanding the geekdom and introduced some friends to Munchkin Quest!

And in the crafting world -

I have started a new geeky hoop

And I made a bunch of bow ties!

We had bad tie day at church and I had to make some extras!

My week in pictures - Week 6

Oh my goodness where did my time go!!!!

Last week was full of lots of adventures!

I'm adjusting to a new work schedule (one of the reasons this post is late today!)

and the kids are adjusting to summer fun with friends.

Kira and I mailed a package to a special friend.

Kira loves decorating packages!

Speaking of Kira, she always amazes me with her sense of creativity!

She put feathers in her hair and also had a feather tail!

Caed had a fun week of Cub Scout day camp.

One of the things he made was a lamp base - he also had to put all the working parts together! He is pretty proud of this one!

We have new pets!!!

We found 3 Screech Owls in one of our trees this weekend.

We have become obsessed with checking on them and seeing where they are each time.  They head out each night for hunting but come back in the morning!  

Caed has named this one Screecher and is convinced that it is bringing him his letter from Hogwarts!

CRAFTING!!!

I'm working on some bow-ties!!

We are having an ugly tie day for father's day at church.

While these aren't necessarily ugly, I think they will be fun to share!

And I made a bunny!!!!!  

I need to finish his little carrot home now!!!

My Week in Pictures - Week 5

SUMMER IS HERE!!!!

Today is our first official day of summer!

Last week went by quickly and was jammed pack full of stuff for the last week of school.

Kira had her last baseball game and got to play catcher

She got a trophy!! All the coaches told her she was the most improved!

Kira also brought home her "Author's Journal" with the stories she had written this year.  This was one of my favorite pictures she drew of her and her BFF together.

Caed celebrated the end of the school year with a special award.

My mom got my a gift certificate for my mother's day gift.

There are 17 different yarn colors in this box!

I'm so excited!!!

Finally found one of the LOTR sets in the store.

We had to bring it home right away!

Starting a new blanket - this is my first knitted blanket!!

My Week in Pictures - Week 4

Another week has quickly gone by!

I can't believe this is my kids' last week of school!

Soon I'll be a mom to a 5th and 3rd grader!!!

They grow up too fast!!!

Here are some of the highlights from last week

We have weekly staffings at work.  I really enjoy them already because I work on an awesome team, but it is made even better with a cup of coffee and my Totoro Notepad from Ohstrumpets

Kira made this cute card for one of her friends.

I love her little pandas!!

My son is in cub scouts and we had our annual water balloon fight.

This was our last one since my son moves up to Boy Scouts next year

I think I am in the wrong place for picture taking!!!!

BLYTHE UPDATE!!

I don't even know where to start!!!

I am so overwhelmed by the kindness of the friends I have made through the online crafty community!

I ordered a few things from Becky and Olivia and got a whole package of goodies!!

Then they next day I got another package from Jenny!

Kira is going to be soooo excited!!!

Don't tell her, but I had to try the dresses on her doll!!

Speaking of Kira, she decided she needed to put a bunch of sticker jewels on her face!!

It seems to be the thing to do among our neighbor girls!

One of the best parts of my week was getting to go to The Austin Renegade Craft Fair with my bestie Maja.  I always have fun with her! We got to check out some of our favorite shops and look at some new ones!

I got some awesome goodies! I'll have to post about them later!

I didn't get a picture of us together because we were both sun burned, one more than the other! 

But here are some fun book bracelets we were checking out!!!

Sunday we made a trip to the Lego Store in Austin.

We always have a lot of fun there.  I love seeing my kids and hubby get excited about the different sets.

Caed was checking out the digital box - you hold up the lego box to the screen and then an animated set pops up on the screen and you can see what it looks like! We watched the storm troopers run all over the place!  It was way too cool!!

I even came home with a prize!  

Now my my keys are doubled in awesomeness with my new Batman Legoman!

Of course my week included LOTS of crafting, but I'm saving those pictures for another blog post!
