I Love Craft Swaps!

I am a BIG lover of Ravelry

I have mostly used it for finding crochet and knitting patterns or seeing how a pattern has worked for other people. 

I recently joined in some groups on Ravelry, one being for Blythes.

I joined just in time because they had just started a Halloween Craft Swap for Blythes!

YES!!!!

I made a few cute things for my partner, but will wait to post those when she gets her package!

But these are the goodies I got from Kimberly 

I didn't get pictures of everything because Kira was stealing things as I took them out because she loved them all!  Look at these cute dresses and the sock monkey!!!  I LOVE the tiny composition note book!!

YEAH! A black cat and a cauldron!!

(Kira felt the cup and hamster needed to join in on the picture even though they weren't in the package!!)

AND YARN!!!

The pink sparkly was sent for Kira and she is excited to use it!!

I can't wait to show what I sent to my partner. 

I snooped around on her etsy favorites page and picked a few things to try to make

It was a lot of fun!

My Craft Swap Prize

Today I got my package from my swap partner!

It's a crocheted crochet hook holder!!! I absolutely LOVE it!!!

My swap partner said she got the idea after snooping through my pins on pinterst (great idea!) I though it was funny that on my board her inspiration and my inspiration were side by side!!

Happy Valentine's Day

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!!!!! 

Also I wanted to share what I gave to my swap partner for the Oh Strumpets Valentine Craft Swap!!

My craft swap partner is Sophie (go check out her cute blog!)  I love the whole craft swapping fun, but also love getting to make a new friend!  

I found some inspiration from pintrest for an embroidery hoop wall art and wanted to make something similar. 

I think the embroidery came out cute!

(sorry blogger has decided that my pictures need to be sideways!!)

Of course I had to add some crocheted hearts!

And to finish it off, my daughter decorated the package!

Blog Blanket Project

Courtney from You will. won't you? is hosting a blogger blanket project!

This is an awesome project where we make 6 granny squares measuring 6"X6" for each of the participants so we end up with enough squares to make a queen sized blanket.  I'm really excited about this idea and have already started working on my squares... I might be a little too excited!! OH WELL!

I'm hoping to use my blanket for my office! I am a therapist for kids and this would be a great comfort my kids could enjoy! Plus what a great picture of people working together! 

This is an awesome project that I think any level of crocheter can get involved with! Even if you have never made a granny square, you can do this! Check out Becky's great tutorials on making granny squares! 

African Flowers

My friend AJ starting crocheting African Flowers for a blanket she was making and I had to give them a try!  

Aren't they awesome??!!???!!

I used this pattern for making them.

I decided to make them for a craft swap I'm doing on One Artsy Mama's blog.  I figured they could be used as decoration, coasters ... the ideas are endless!!

I love craft swaps!

I have participated in 3 craft swaps through Strumpets Crumpets and I have to say they are AWESOME! 

I really love making something for someone else and then getting such an amazing goodie in return!!

I just finished the Easter Swap and I made my partner some crocheted eggs

Aren't the cute???  I had so much fun making these!!

And I received the SWEETEST Spring Wreath EVER from my partner Jenny

I had to hang it up right away!!!
