Ornament Swap - Part 2

My ornament for the  Stumpet's Christmas Ornament Swap is crocheted and mailed off to my swap partner Mandi!   I decided to make something without a pattern (scary!) and just see what happens!  I thought a snowman would be simple enough, so here he is!

He is right at home on a Christmas Tree!

I can't wait to get mine! It's coming all the way from Canada!!! How awesome!!!  I will post pictures when I get it!!!!!

I am SO excited! I made it into the OFFICIAL Best Pumpkin Photo Nomination for the Crochet-A-Long!!!

Anyone can vote and I would appreciate if you could support me and head over to Itsy Bitsy Spider and give my pumpkin photo a vote!  You have until Saturday November 6th to get the vote it.  Also there are 2 other categories with some awesome pumpkins that you can vote for too!!
I feel sooo honored to even make it into the top 3 out of all the other pumpkins that were entered in. 

Nomination Help

The Pumpkin Crochet-a-long is almost over! 

On Tuesday we can start nominating pumpkin pictures for one of three categories:

• Most Creative Idea
• Best Pumpkin Photo
• Best Pumpkin (overall)

I can only nominate one picture and I can't make up my mind! So I thought I'd ask you guys what you thought!

I like this one cause it has almost all of the pumpkins together

But then there is this cutie!

Pumpkins Everywhere!!!

I have finished up some more pumpkins for the CAL and thought I'd show them off!

They are so easy to make that I find myself just making another one just for fun!

I love looking at the Fllickr album of the other pumpkins! Check them out for some other really great ones!!

I also wanted to show off the Jayne Hat I embroidered for my next coffee sleeve.  I'm still thinking of the perfect quote to go with it. I've gotten some great suggestions from my friend Marci, but would still love more suggestions!  Let me know if you have an idea for a quote to go with it!

Growing in the Garden

Look what I found in the garden this morning!

I imagine this is what Cinderella's pumpkin looked like after it was done being a carriage.  Once you are hit with magic, you are never the same!!

Getting Started

I got started on my pumpkins! 

I first started with some left over orange yarn I had and realized soon I wouldn't have enough for the pattern.  I made adjustments and made it into a smaller pumpkin!  

I also adjusted the leaves and made 3 instead of the 5 in the pattern and made one longer than the others.  I think it adds some character!

I then got some awesome "I love this yarn" yarn called burnt pumpkin and made the pumpkin in the pattern. 

These are so easy and quick to make!  I really needed more polly fill so the pumpkin isn't as full as it should be, but it still looks cute! 

I really love the curly stem!

Crochet Pumpkin Patch - Crochet-a-long

I joined in on the Crochet-a-long on Itsy Bitsy Spider Crochet's blog today and am super excited to get started!! You get a free pattern for a pumpkin to create and make it your own. There will be a pumpkin fashion show with prizes too!!!

I'm excited to see what other people come up with and get an opportunity to practice some crocheting skills!
