I couldn't help it anymore and had to buy myself my own Blythe Doll!! I searched on EBay and still wasn't willing to fork over the amount for a "real" Blythe but found factory ones. These seem to be made of extra parts and can have some defects. I lost on several auctions for a factory doll and was getting really frustrated! But finally I won this green haired cutie! My friend suggested Louisa for her name and I love it! Kira calls her Lou Lou! Kira made sure to introduce them to each other and is convinced they are going to be besties!!
My great grandma's name was Lou Lou! In fact, I believe her actual name was Lou Lou Bell. She was quite the lady who divorced her abusive husband during the depression, opened a custom underwear shop and became quite the business woman!
ReplyDeleteOh awesome!!! I love that my Lou Lou has a great inspiration to share names with :) thanks for sharing!!
DeleteThose Blythe dolls are so cute! I don't really play with dolls anymore, but I'd LOVE to crochet for them! :)
ReplyDeleteAwhile back they had the Little Pet Shop Blythe dolls. I had NO clue who Blythe was...I thought she was some lame doll Littlest Pet Shop came out with.
Then I found you on Twitter (I think that's where I found you). You started to put a bunch of pictures of Blythe. I was like, "Hey! That's a Littlest Pet Shop doll!" I looked it up and found out that they're more than LPS--they're pretty popular! :)
Hope you found my cute little story interesting. ;)
That is awesome!! I discovered them from one of my blog friends and fell in love after seeing all her dolls :)
